We do require a concerted commitment to preparation before rehearsals and attendance at rehearsals. Rehearsal CDs are provided before each season to help each singer with words and rhythms. Most listen to and from work, and the well-deserved retiree listens while the rest of us work! It all works out with fun rehearsals and concerts dedicated to lifting our spirits, and those hearing our performances!
Our typical season is usually 8 - 10 rehearsals and include an in-house performance as well as community performances.
Our 'seasons' include:
*Summer season: typically starting in April running through July with summer performances and some fall performances using the same repertoire from summer.
*Christmas Season - typically starting mid-October and performing wherever we can for the community!
*our SweetNotes women's division that typically begins rehearsals in early February for a spring event.
Once auditioned and placed into Expressions, you are welcome to be a part of one season only, or join every season - as many of our singers do!
Contact Vicki to schedule an audition!
You do NOT have to be able to read music. Simply sing for us on pitch, demonstrate that you can hold your part against another part, and then enjoy rehearsals until performance time!
Choir Dues will begin in January, 2023. Currently, no dues are required to finish 2022.
